My name is Don Cook. I am a
listener-candidate for the KPFT LSB. I
wish
to state the following for the record:
1. I witnessed the
exchange between Tucker Bradley and
Ken Freeland on the evening of October 15 referenced in Mr. Freeland's
complaint and the
subsequent ruling of national
elections supervisor Les Radke.
2. At times Ken stood very
closely to Ms. Bradley, in
front of her and spoke intensely to her about an agreement
he appeared to think he had with Ms. Bradley regarding circumstances of
a momentarily pending broad cast with three LSB candidates, including
Ken, but I did not observe Ken Freeland
"leap" at Ms. Bradley.
3. I do not know if Ms.
Bradley moved in response to
any movement on Mr. Freeland's part. I did not observe any physical
contact between Mr. Freeland and Ms. Bradley, including Mr. Freeland's
baseball cap.
4. I did not observe Ken
deliberately spitting at Ms
Bradley. I do not know if any incidental spit might have come
from Mr. Freeland towards Ms. Bradley.
5. I think that most observers
would have concluded
that Mr. Freeland was angry, and that anger was directed at Ms.
Bradley, but I did not recall
hearing Mr. Freeland shout "youshutup" to Ms. Bradley. He did not
seem to me to be about to lose control.
6. I was not interviewed
by National Elections
Supervisor Les Radke prior to his October 19 ruling banning candidate
Freeland from all campaign events run by the Local Elections Supervisor.
7. I did respond to a
query by KPFT General Manager
Duane Bradley regarding the baseball cap question, and reported to him
as above.
signed, Don
Cook
